Info Session: NIH Research and Travel Award (Up to $7,200) for Summer 2020

Come and learn about a new and exciting funding opportunity for MPH and PhD students interested in conducting summer research in international or domestic settings. This NIH award provides students with a stipend of up to $7,200 to be used for research and travel to domestic and international sites during Summer 2020. 

This is a funding opportunity for students to travel and conduct summer research in U.S. minority and global settings. Amount awarded is based upon each applicant’s research project and its associated costs for a period of up to 15 weeks during the summer of 2020. The program provides a stipend/ subsistence to cover travel and living expenses in the domestic or foreign research sites. Previous internships have been conducted in Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Morocco, Vietnam, Kenya, Egypt, Tunisia, Zambia, Cyprus, Peru, Mexico and the United States.

This event will feature a catered lunch. If attending, please RSVP by October 15. 


Who Should Attend:

  • PhD students 
  • MPH students completing a research thesis or internship. 
  • Eligibility: Students need to be matriculated for at least one semester after completing summer research.
