New Research from GCIS

The National Cancer Institute (NIH), through the Method to Extend Research in Time (MERIT) Program, has provided $3.1 million in funding for a research project led by Dr. Corrina Moucheraud. The study aims to identify the key factors affecting HPV vaccine uptake in Kenya and Malawi, two countries with a very high burden of cervical cancer.

Visiting Faculty at GCIS

Early this month, Dr. Hanh Tran, an epidemiologist at the Hanoi University of Public Health in Vietnam, visited the NYU School of Global Public Health. She hosted a research-in-progress meeting to discuss the cost-effectiveness of lung cancer screening in Vietnam. 

GCIS at World Cancer Congress

Last month, Dr. Donna Shelley, Dr. Corrina Moucheraud and Dr. PhuongThao Le attended the World Cancer Congress in Switzerland. The conference aims to raise awareness about new cancer prevention strategies and support efforts to reduce the global cancer burden.
