Learning Collaborative on the Role of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Advancement Policies in Leveraging Youth Development in Africa.

Project Description: The project aims to share learnings through an Inter-Academy multidisciplinary committee of experts, in partnership with other relevant institutions that will interrogate the evidence on the role and enabling contexts of science-advancement policies in developing the bulging Youth Human Capital in Africa.
Enacting an Ethic of Care and Responsibility in Global Health Partnerships

Project Description: This consensus study analyzed global health engagements through a relational lens, emphasizing fairness, reciprocity, and Ugandan leadership in partnerships.
Finding Humanity in Uncertainty: Pandemic Preparedness and Response in Uganda

Project Description: This study explores the societal dimensions of health crises, including trust, empathy, and leadership during pandemics. It emphasized the need to integrate human-centered approaches in public health planning and preparedness.
UN Habitat’s Local 2030 Coalition: Knowledge and Scientific Network - JORDAN
- Organization: UN Habitat
Project Description: The coalition’s mission is to support the acceleration and localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by bridging the gap between research, data and knowledge and policy and decision-making in Jordan. The objective of this project is to connect academics with policymakers to ensure evidence-based decision making at the local level, and translate these findings into global insights to ensure coherence between global agendas and local policies.
UN Habitat’s Local 2030 Coalition: Knowledge and Scientific Network - TUNISIA

Project Description: The coalition’s mission is to support the acceleration and localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by bridging the gap between research, data, and knowledge on the one hand, and policy and decision-making on the other in Tunisia. Effects of climate change on older adults in New York City (NYC) and U.S.
- Organization: New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM)
Project Description: The scope of the project includes research articles focusing on non‑extreme heat factors affecting older adults, such as preparedness for severe weather, environmental degradation, and air pollution. The project also involves the development of a journal article draft addressing these non‑extreme heat factors. In addition, the NY‑CAAN project will support focus group facilitation.
Effect of availability and quality of green spaces in racialized and low-income communities in Southwark and Lambeth, UK
- Organization: Impact on Urban Health (IUH)
Project Description: The scope of this project includes the development of a comprehensive report on asset‑based approaches to health, with a particular emphasis on green spaces. It also includes a literature review of existing practices in the United States and globally, and an assessment of best practices that are replicable in a UK urban setting.

Local 2030 Knowledge Hub
- Organization: UN-Habitat SDG Localization and LRGs Team
Project Description: Connects academia and young researchers to policy-making to advance SDG localization. Students selected to follow SDG localization course and connected to relevant policy processes through UN-Habitat country offices.
Landscape Analysis on Participatory Budgeting (Public Spaces)

Project Description: This analysis aims to address the need for transparency and community involvement in resource allocation by analyzing the effectiveness of participatory budgeting in promoting urban health/public spaces.
HerCity Toolbox
- Organization: UN-Habitat
Project Description: Supports cities to scale up and mainstream girls’ participation in planning to build sustainable societies. Toolbox contains 9 building blocks as a digital guideline on how to co-plan cities from a girl's’ perspectives.
Uganda's National Immunization Technical Advisory Group: Urban immunization practices and vaccine policies

- Project Description: This policy brief seeks to support the government in developing sustainable, data-driven immunization policies that address the unique challenges of urban settings and ensure equitable vaccine coverage for all populations.
