Mari Armstrong-Hough is an epidemiologist and medical sociologist with expertise in mixed-methods designs, quantitative methods, and intervention design. Her work aims to understand and reduce disparities in access to equitable, evidence-based care for pulmonary disease, with a focus on tuberculosis (TB) low- and middle-income countries and respiratory failure in the United States. One arm of her research characterizes barriers to receiving evidence-based care for these conditions among vulnerable populations. The other identifies modifiable contributors to these disparities and seeks to intervene on them using methods from the social, behavioral, and implementation sciences.
