Students in Dr. David Abramson's J-term course, Public Health Emergency Preparedness & Response: A Global Perspective, in Israel experienced the country's innovation and history. They attended a Tel Aviv conference and visited ancient sites like Jerusalem and Nazareth. Highlights included observing an earthquake drill, touring Israel's emergency hospital, and engaging with residents along the Gaza border. They also participated in a class on pandemic preparedness and heard Dr. Abramson speak at an international conference. The course ended with a class in a Roman amphitheater by the Mediterranean.
