Chinenye Chukwu is a public health professional with interests in health outcomes research and epidemiology. Over the years, she has gained experience in research and evaluation for public health programs. She also has experience with evidence generation aimed at informing value communications and strategic marketing for federal agencies (CDC, NHLBI, etc.) and pharmaceutical companies (Astra Zeneca, Kyowa Kirin, etc.). Chinenye is very passionate about the application of data science to inform the development of context-specific and culturally appropriate health interventions to improve health outcomes. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University – New Brunswick and her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Global Health from New York University (NYU). During her time at NYU, she was a member of the inaugural cohort of the Implementing Sustainable Evidence-based Intervention through Engagement (ISEE) Lab. Her participation in the ISEE lab was essential towards enriching her skills as a public health professional. Having experienced the challenge of navigating graduate school and the struggle to discover your niche, she believes in the importance of sharing experiences through mentorship and is eager to support students as an SGPH Fellow.
