ISEE Lab
About
Meet the Lab Director
Dr. Emmanuel Peprah’s research interests lie at the confluence of understanding what, why, and how some evidence-based interventions work in some populations and not others.
Who We Are
The ISEE Lab is composed of talented multidisciplinary individuals with various areas of expertise and diverse areas of concentrations.
Areas of Interest
Evidence synthesis and literature searching; methodologies for advancing implementation research; Sickle Cell Disease; maternal health; HIV syndemics; global mental health.
About
Mission
To cultivate leaders equipped to synthesize, generate and translate evidence into culturally-appropriate, sustainable and scalable interventions that improve health outcomes and well-being for patients, families, and communities.
Vision
To implement impactful, evidence-based interventions that improve health outcomes in resource-limited settings by fostering active community engagement, developing contextually tailored and sustainable solutions, and cultivating strong leadership.
Goals
Our research aims to create lasting health improvements worldwide by understanding the why and how interventions are adopted and sustained in some communities but not others.
Current Projects
We strive to understand the who, why, where, and how interventions are adopted and maintained by certain communities and not others. Our research is based on well-studied implementation science principles, theories, frameworks, and measures.
Introducing the ASSESS Tool
A comprehenSive tool to Support rEporting and critical appraiSal of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods implementation reSearch outcomes
