RARE Scholars participate in a two-week orientation to prepare them to be research assistants for the summer.

-Job Search and Networking Techniques

-Financial Literacy Workshop
Scholars also participate in social activities, which include:
- Bowling
- Juneteenth BBQ
-Game Night
Following orientation RARE Scholars are fully immersed in 6 weeks of research with their faculty mentors. The culmination of the RARE program includes a final presentation of their research projects.
