Implementation science seeks to close the gap between what we know and what we do by identifying and addressing barriers that slow or halt the uptake of evidence-informed policies and practices.  The Global Center for Implementation Science (GCIS) aims to identify the best ways to integrate proven interventions and policies into routine health care, health policy, and public health practice in complex environments.

Creating opportunities to generate, translate, and scale promising policies and proven practices to achieve equitable health outcomes across populations.

To inform and support people, communities, organizations, and policymakers to align their actions with evidence about what will optimize public health impact and health equity.
