Partner with policymakers, global and local civil society organizations, healthcare organizations, providers, and communities to co-create solutions to complex implementation challenges in real-world settings.
- GCIS leads an annual policy symposium (Evidence to Action) that highlights a pressing public health challenge for which there are promising policy solutions and evidence-informed interventions that have not been adopted or scaled. Through this symposium, we demonstrate the link between implementation science and policymaking, for an audience of researchers, policymakers, and implementers. The 2024 symposium was titled “Hospital-based Interventions for Violence Prevention in NYC: Increasing Impact with Implementation Science,” and information about the event (including speaker bios and presentations) can be found HERE. This symposium also included a case competition for NYU students.
