SPARK-IS

Calling all implementation scientists (and those interested in learning more)--to Florence, Italy!

The NYU Short Program for Advancing Research & Knowledge in Implementation Science (NYU SPARK-IS) is a rigorous, 3-day intensive in-person training designed for faculty, clinician-researchers, and post-doctoral scholars eager to develop research that bridges the gap between evidence-based interventions and policies, and real-world practice. Hosted at one of NYU’s premier global sites and led by internationally recognized experts from NYU’s Global Center for Implementation Science (GCIS), this non-credit training draws on a proven, field tested curriculum. In 2027, SPARK-IS will be held in Florence, Italy, at the 47-acre historic NYU campus at Villa La Pietra.

Through this training, participants will master the specific methodologies, theories, frameworks, and vocabulary of implementation science, and gain the specialized skills necessary to design competitive grant proposals and rigorous studies. The training combines self-paced content with face-to-face learning that mixes engaging modalities to ensure that participants gain actionable grant-writing strategies.

Offered at a tuition of $2850 USD (inclusive of room and board), NYU SPARK-IS provides an accessible pathway to academic and scientific leadership in a discipline well-resourced with grant funding.
