When is the application deadline?
Submit your application no later than May 1st of sophomore year for fall admission.
What do I need to do to apply to the 4+1 program?
- Meet with Kristin Cutler (kristin.cutler@nyu.edu), the GPH 4+1 program advisor.
- Receive approval to apply from your undergraduate academic advisor.
- Submit the NYU GPH - Request for Information - 4+1 Program form.
- Complete the official GPH 4+1 application, which will be sent as a link via email after submitting the above Request for Information form.
What materials do I need to submit to apply?
- Complete the official GPH 4+1 application online application, as noted above.
- Statement of purpose
- Resume/CV
- NYU transcript (plus external transcripts, if applicable)
- Approval letter from your current undergraduate academic advisor
For applicants to the 4+1 program in Bioethics, in addition to the above application materials, please also provide:
- Writing sample
- Two letters of recommendation
Am I eligible to apply for a 4+1 program in public health?
You are eligible to apply to the BA/MPH and BS/MPH 4+1 programs, if you:
- Are in your sophomore year.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 to apply and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to enter GPH as a full-time master’s student.
Additionally, for BA/MS in Biostatistics only:
- Have completed the equivalent of a college-level precalculus course with a minimum grade of B.
You are eligible to apply to the BA/MA 4+1 program, if you:
- Have at least two undergraduate semesters remaining at NYU.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to apply and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to enter GPH as a full-time master’s student.
