The world is facing a food crisis of unprecedented proportions, the largest in modern history. Millions are at risk of worsening hunger unless action is taken now to respond to the drivers of this crisis. Join Shaza Moghraby from the UN World Food Programme (UNWFP) talk about the magnitude of the problem we are facing, what’s driving it and what solutions are available. She will also discuss opportunities for students to be get involved with UNWFP.

About the Speaker:
Shaza Moghraby is a Spokesperson leading communications & advocacy for the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) in New York. A Jordanian national, she joined UNWFP in May 2014 as Head of Communications and Spokesperson for WFP in Jordan with eight years’ experience in media relations and strategic communications.

The UN World Food Programme (UNWFP) works in 123 countries and territories, delivering food assistance, partnering with governments and providing common services that allow the entire humanitarian community to save lives in emergencies and build the resilience of food insecure people and communities.
