This CADIO webinar presented by Dr. Inbal Billie Hahum-Shani will introduce the hybrid experimental design (HED)—a new experimental approach that can be used to answer scientific questions about building behavioral interventions in which digital (e.g., prompts from a mobile device) and non-digital (e.g., coaching sessions) intervention components are integrated and adapted on multiple timescales. We will describe the key characteristics of HEDs, explain their scientific rationale, and provide guidelines for their design and corresponding data analysis.
