A new speaker series is coming your way! Starting on October 21st, the Global Center for Implementation Science will host its first Global Research Leader webinar, the series will introduce leading scientific research programs based in Africa. Join us to hear from the series opener Dr. Patricia Turimumahoro, a primary care physician and project manager at the World Alliance for Lung and Intensive Care Medicine, working with the Uganda TB Implementation Research Consortium. Dr. Turimumahoro is also an alumna of the Master of Public Health program at the University of California, Berkeley.

In this event, you'll learn about her research on developing and evaluating community health programs, with a particular focus on tuberculosis (TB) control and prevention. She has led several initiatives aimed at improving TB/HIV care delivery, leveraging her extensive field experience to design and assess strategies that enhance community engagement and health system responsiveness. Dr. Turimumahoro will also present the results of a cost-effectiveness evaluation of a user-centered TB contact investigation program.
