Hosted by the Center for Bioethics
The NYU Center for Bioethics presents the 5th Annual Philosophical Bioethics Workshop, where leading scholars explore critical intersections of philosophy with medicine, technology, and ethics. In this two-day workshop from April 25-26, attendees will engage with groundbreaking research across diverse areas including neuroethics, environmental ethics, AI ethics and clinical ethics through presentations by distinguished speakers including keynote Professor Caspar Hare from MIT. The workshop features thought-provoking sessions addressing pressing bioethical questions such as genetic reproductive freedom, paternalism, AI in medicine and moral advisement through large language models. Organized by S. Matthew Liao, Daniel Fogal, Claudia Passos-Ferreira, Dan Khokhar and Jonathan Knutzen, this in-person event offers a unique opportunity to participate in shaping philosophical approaches to today's most challenging bioethical dilemmas.
Note: There is limited space for in-person attendance at this event (there will be no Zoom option). For questions, contact bioethics@nyu.edu.
