"The Impact of Child Advocacy Centers on Charging Rates in Child Sexual Abuse Cases: A Comparative Analysis"
DrPH student, Jackie Saltarelli will present her AAPE conducted with Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). Working with PCCD's Office of Research, Evaluation and Strategic Policy Development, Jackie focused on understanding how the presence of Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) can impact charging rates in child sexual abuse (CSA) cases against adults in Pennsylvania.
This presentation will include background information about CACs and their potential impact, statistics about charging rates of CSA cases against adults in Pennsylvania counties with and without CACs, and recommendations for future research.
