Hosted by the Global Action for Urban Health Lab
More than 4.4 billion people globally live in urban areas and the urban population is predicted to reach 6.7 billion by 2050, accounting for 70% of the world’s population. This poses social and environmental challenges that will have disproportionate impacts on the health and wellbeing of citizens, especially of socially and economically disadvantaged communities. In a very real sense, urban health is a critical driver of global health. The varied and complex nature of urban life requires new collaborations, partnerships and governance structures to make change in a holistic manner.
This webinar will feature a panel of three distinguished NYU faculty members who will highlight their work in different areas of urban health.
