A structural nested rate model for estimating the effects of time-varying exposure on recurrent events

February 26
12-1pm
708 Broadway, Room 801 & Online

Hosted by the Department of Biostatistics

Speaker: Ashkan Ertefaie, PhD

The objective of this research is to estimate both the short-term and delayed marginal causal effects of exposures on recurrent events while addressing the bias of a potentially correlated terminal event. Existing estimators based on marginal structural models and proportional rate models are unsuitable for estimating delayed marginal causal effects for several reasons; furthermore, they fail to account for competing risks associated with a terminating event.

This event is open to the NYU Community only (current students, faculty, and staff) for in person attendance. The general public will only be allowed to participate virtually.
