DrPH AAPE Presentation Featuring Pierre Amiel

DrPH student, Pierre Amiel, will present his AAPE conducted with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). His project supported the development, refinement, and implementation of subnational systems for monitoring the social determinants of health across the Americas. He contributed to PAHO’s methodological guide, developed an evidence-based, AI-assisted literature review protocol, and supported pilot municipalities in Chile and Colombia as they selected priority topics, indicators, and data sources. The work highlighted how technical rigor, local capacity, and sustained stakeholder engagement must come together to create equitable, scalable, and sustainable monitoring systems.
