Listening to the national news, it can be hard to tell whether Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to solve all of society’s problems or destroy civilization as we know it. What do all the headlines and hype mean for epidemiologists and health scientists trying to conduct research and create programs that improve public health? During this talk, Dr. Jeanette Stingone will discuss her experience as an epidemiologist using machine learning and AI to enhance data collection, harmonization and analysis, while confronting ethical concerns and practical limitations around implementation of AI tools.
