Our semester in D.C. has come to an end after nine very short weeks! In the midst of final assignments, presentations, and workshops, we have been anticipating our next semester in Argentina and appreciating our last days in D.C. Our Spanish professors arranged a trip to the Argentinian Embassy which is walking distance from the NYU D.C. campus. At the embassy we learned more about Argentina, the culture, the people, the history, and more. We got the opportunity to ask questions and get more insight before we leave the country.

We also spent the last two weeks taking in as much of D.C. as possible. Here are some tips for the next C-CMPH cohort! Before you leave D.C. next summer:

  • Check out the “Jazz in the Garden” series
  • Go to the National Arboretum
  • Have a picnic at the Georgetown waterfront
  • Go to as many Smithsonian museums as possible; they’re free
  • Study at the Library of Congress
  • Eat from Arepazone near campus
  • Check out some poetry at Busboys and Poets
  • Take a postcard-like photo at the National Mall
  • Make use of the BalanceGym membership that comes with being an NYU student
  • Go to Great Falls Park in Virginia
  • Enjoy D.C.’s nightlife
