Every spring, the entire College of Global Public Health community is excited to celebrate the hard work and bright futures of all of our talented graduates during Graduation. Whether you are a graduating student, attending as a proud family member or friend , or participating as a faculty or staff member, you’ll find all the information you need right here.

Important Dates and Times

Please mark your calendars for the NYU College of Global Public Health’s 2019 graduation festivities!


GPH Graduation Ceremony

Monday, May 20, 2019, 2:00 p.m.

United Palace, 4140 Broadway, New York, NY 10033  [MAP]

Tickets: Each graduating student will automatically receive five guest tickets. Please note that graduating students do not need a ticket. Instructions for ticket distribution will be sent to all students via email in the coming weeks.


187th All-University Commencement

Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Yankee Stadium, 1 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY 10451 [MAP]


  • 9:00 am  Yankee Stadium Gates Open for Candidates and Guests
  • 10:30 am  Faculty Procession Begins
  • 11:00 am  Ceremony Begins
  • 12:30 pm  Ceremony Concludes (approx.)

Tickets: Graduating students, families, and guests must have a Commencement ticket to enter Yankee Stadium. Each candidate who orders on time may request one candidate ticket and a maximum of three guest tickets for admission into Yankee Stadium. Ticket ordering begins in mid-March. No tickets will be distributed on Commencement Day, Wednesday, May 22, 2019.


Applying for GraduationAll graduating students and seniors should apply for May 2019 graduation in Albert by Sunday, February 3, 2019. Instructions on how to apply for graduation can be found here.


International Visa RequestsInternational guest who plan to attend the Commencement Ceremony or the GPH Ceremony may need to apply for a U.S. Visitor Visa (B-2). For more information, please visit this page.

Please note that family members from certain countries may be eligible to visit the U.S. for up to 90 days without obtaining a B-1/B-2 visa through the U.S. Department of State Visa Waiver Program.
