4+1 Information Session

This information session is intended for undergraduate students in CAS, Gallatin, GLS, and Steinhardt interested in GPH's 4+1 programs.

The NYU School of Global Public Health offers current NYU undergraduate students the opportunity to earn both a bachelor's and a master's degree in only five years through our accelerated 4+1 programs. Benefits of the 4+1 program include:

  • Finish early. Students start taking graduate-level courses during their junior year, saving a full year.
  • Save on tuition. By taking rigorous graduate courses during junior and senior years, students only pay tuition for one year of graduate school (Year 5/MPH Year); students also automatically earn a scholarship in Year 5.
  • Engage in research and practice. In Year 5, students enhance their research skills and connect with organizations domestically and globally to gain real-world public health experience.
  • Expand your professional network. Students work with our faculty experts and graduate students to grow their public health network and gain career insights.
  • Jump start your career in public health. The 4+1 programs allow our graduates to get an early start on their public health careers, whether this be in research, public health practice, or policy.
