An Introduction to and Application of the Micro-Randomized Trial

In this webinar, Dr. Devin Tomlinson (University of Michigan) will begin with an introduction to the micro-randomized trial (MRT). The MRT is an experimental design involving sequential randomizations on relatively fast timescales that are intended to answer scientific questions about constructing just-in-time adaptive interventions. Following the introduction, we will review the results of a pilot MRT embedded in a digital contingency management intervention for smoking cessation.
