Direct Entry Pathway

This exclusive program is designed for graduating NYU undergraduate seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence.

The Pathway simplifies admissions and gives you a head start on your master’s studies with our free, online, asynchronous, zero-credit, pass/fail Introduction to Public Health course. Eligible students enroll in the master’s program in the fall semester following graduation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • NYU undergraduate senior
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • For MPH, have a GPA of 3.25 or higher in one or more Public Health courses
  • For MA Bioethics, have a GPA of 3.25 or higher in one or more Bioethics courses 
  • Enroll in the zero-credit, pass/fail Introduction to Public Health course

Note: Admission into the MPH Biostatistics or MPH Epidemiology concentrations will require a specific review of your previous quantitative coursework.

  • No Application: No application fee, letters of recommendation, personal statements, or resume. Submit a short online form and successfully pass the free, online, asynchronous, zero-credit, pass/fail Introduction to Public Health course (Pass/Fail).
  • Guaranteed Scholarship: Accepted students will receive a $20,000 scholarship for the program.
  • Your Choice of Program: Select the program that aligns with your career goals: MA Bioethics; MPH with concentrations in Biostatistics, Community Health Science and Practice, Environmental Public Health, Epidemiology, Global Health, Public Health Nutrition, Public Health Policy and Management, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
  • Flexibility: Take classes online or in-person, full-time or part-time.
