The prevention of child maltreatment is a public health priority - affecting more than 600,000 children in the U.S. alone each year and has been associated with lifelong adverse biopsychosocial outcomes. The Safe Futures Lab develops, implements, and evaluates applied, strategic, family-focused interventions to prevent child maltreatment. Its members are committed to the prevention of child maltreatment with a perspective of inclusion, cultural sensitivity, representation, and health equity.
