In this webinar, Justice Nonvignon, an expert in health economics, financing, and policy, will discuss his research on the dilemma of financing Africa's health.
Nonvignon serves as the Technical Director and Cluster Lead for Primary Health Care Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Equity at Management Sciences for Health. He is also a Professor of Health Economics at the University of Ghana's School of Public Health. Previously, he was the founding Head of the Health Economics and Financing Division at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the autonomous technical health agency of the African Union based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. With extensive experience in public health research, teaching, and mentoring students, Nonvignon has collaborated with policymakers across various African countries. He has also provided strategic advice to major global health organizations, including WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank, and USAID.
Nonvignon serves as Co-Chair of the Ministry of Health Ghana's Health Technology Assessment Technical Working Group and as a member of the advisory board for the Global Health Economics Centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. During this webinar, Nonvignon will draw from his vast expertise to share insights on leveraging research and health economics evidence to strengthen public health programs across Africa.
