This version is the primary School of Global Public Health logo to be used by default on all internal and external communications. It is also best used for outside audiences where the full name adds additional information. It is used when the communications would benefit from a more formal approach.

NYU GPH Short Logo

This version can be used in instances where the final size will be small or transparent, like in the cases of social media posts, small video thumbnails or printing on small SWAG items like pens and notepads.

This version is used in a few instances in which the final size is more rectangular, in small digital applications, large outdoor flag applications or printing on promotional items such as water bottles, or tote bags.

NYU Prestare

NYU Perstare is our primary typeface. This versatile font family can be combined with recommended secondary typefaces to achieve different tones. That flexibility helps our communications appeal to many of our different audiences, including students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff, peers, and supporters, while maintaining a thematically consistent brand. Font choice also establishes a clear hierarchy of information, allowing audiences to easily navigate your communications. Drawing on the energy of human connections and NYU’s urban heart, NYU Perstare—paired with organic flourishes—represents all that the University encompasses through its bold, strong presence. Its name, drawn from our motto, perstare et praestare (to persevere and to excel), is a nod to the NYU spirit of persistence and ingenuity that has been foundational to our continued excellence.

In partnership with Colophon, the prestigious foundry behind a number of global brands’ typefaces, we set out to create NYU Perstare—a font that is an expression of the University in all its complexity, and offers the versatility of seven weights in both proportionate and condensed styles.
