While the UN is best known for peacekeeping, conflict prevention, and humanitarian aid, there are several other ways the UN contributes to public health. These organizations are often supported by contracts from the government, foundations, and private businesses. College and university instructors educate students interested in public health careers and prepare them for real-world situations.
