GEH Ambassadors

Lucinda is a first-year student in the MPH Environmental Public Health concentration at New York University. She graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring  in Biology & Hispanic Studies. Between undergrad and her master's degree, Lucinda worked for two years as a research assistant and lab manager in the Brady Laboratory at The Rockefeller University. She has done extensive laboratory research and fieldwork in microbiology, including studying the impact of the microbiome on human health, the discovery and development of antibiotics, and the consequences of antibiotic microbial resistance. She also worked at Human Impacts Institute, an environmental justice nonprofit which inspired her to pursue an MPH. Her interests lie in the intersection of social justice, urban environmental health, and community health work.
