Third Year doctoral candidate in Epidemiology | NYU School of Global Public Health

I'm a doctoral student in the Epidemiology track. Prior to enrolling at NYU, I worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Division of Congenital and Developmental Disorders for eight years, including 18 months working in the CDC’s Emergency Operations Center for the 2016 Zika Virus Response. I have an MPH in Global Epidemiology from Emory University and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross. I have experience in the fields of public health surveillance, preparedness and response, infectious disease, and maternal and child health.

Second Year MS in Computer Science | NYU School of Global Public Health

I am a second-year computer science student at NYU, and also an incoming PhD student for the Biostatistics concentration at NYU GPH. I currently work with Dr. Hai Shu to develop a deep learning-based multiple testing methods that can be applied to high dimensional data such as the ADNI dataset.

Rising Third Year doctoral candidate in Biostatistics | NYU Langone Health Department of Population Health

I'm a third-year doctoral student in the biostatistics track in the department of population health. My current work focuses on environmental health studies and developing methods to characterize various adverse environmental exposures' effects on outcomes of interest, for example, fetal growth.

Second Year MS Biostatistics Student | NYU School of Global Public Health

I'm an incoming second year MS Biostatistics student and currently a clinical trials research and development intern with Regeneron. I am particularly interested in applications of survival analysis and the planning and execution of clinical trials. Additionally,  I am an NYU Biostatistics consulting lab member and I am working on my second project for NYU Langone which aims to identify environmental exposures to Parkinson's Disease. Before coming to NYU, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Florida and in 2020 I became a certified EMT which inspired me to pursue a degree in public health.

Rising Second Year doctoral candidate in Biostatistics | NYU School of Global Public Health

I'm a doctoral student at NYU School of Global Public Health specializing in Biostatistics. I received a B.A. in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics at Occidental College. After
that, I joined NYU GPH and obtained M.S. in Biostatistics.
I was involved in multiple collaborative projects and
consulting tasks, including bayesian adaptive platform
clinical trials, meta-analysis, machine learning,
psychometrics/measurement development, and several
longitudinal/cohort studies during my time at NYU.
Currently, I'm working on a transfer learning
application on missing data imputations. I'm
interested in using data to address public health
issues and finding optimal clinical solutions
with statistical approaches.

Rising Fifth Year doctoral candidate in Epidemiology | NYU School of Global Public Health

I'm a rising 5th year Ph.D. candidate in Epidemiology at NYU's School of Global Public Health with nearly 10 years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian. I'm also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone where she works with patients, families, and other clinicians on nutrition approaches to disease prevention and treatment. As a doctoral student, I work with nutrition and epidemiology faculty in research and teaching, studying the association between diet and chronic disease risk factors. I have received an F31 award through the NHLBI to support my dissertation work, examining the relationship between the DASH diet and risk factors for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease among South Asian adults in the MASALA cohort.

Rising First Year doctoral candidate in Biostatistics | NYU School of Global Public Health

I will be starting the first year of my Ph.D. program at NYU in fall 2022. After receiving my Bachelor of Medicine in Preventive Medicine from China, I received my MS in Biostatistics from NYU. My research mainly focuses on high-dimensional data analysis, machine learning, causal inference, and their applications to medical data. My thesis is to evaluate the performance of machine learning methods on multi-label diabetes prediction.

Second Year MS Biostatistics student in Data Science | NYU School of Global Public Health

I'm a Master’s student in the Biostatistics Department concentrating in Data Science at NYU School of Global Public Health. I had graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s in Biology where I studied regenerative medicine under Dr. Chang-Hun Lee and had developed a passion for the opposing mechanism of controlled cell proliferation in cancer research. After graduating, I was a researcher in a pancreatic cancer clinical trial under Dr. Vinod Balachandran at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. When the pandemic hit, I was inspired to enter public health after being moved by the disparities emphasized by COVID-19 treatment. Currently, I'm a researcher in the NIH “All of Us” project under Dr. Farzana Kapadia in understanding cancer disparities over time. I am also the Graduate President of the Student Governing Council where I foster a sense of community and promote leadership and professional development opportunities in public health.
