DrPH Candidate John Pateña will present on his dissertation which focuses on integrating mental health care to address common mental disorders among people living with Sickle Cell Disease in LMICs. The qualitative study utilizes the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) to evaluate the acceptability and feasibility influencing the adoption of task-sharing mental health interventions for this population. The dissertation aims to generate actionable insights for improving mental health care delivery for Sickle Cell Disease populations by advancing collaborative and scalable approaches to address unmet mental health needs in resource-constrained settings.
