In the weeks, months, and years following natural, technological, or man-made disasters, what happens to communities, and how do they recover? What influences our ability to be resilient? Professor David Abramson, MPH, PhD, who has studied disasters from Katrina to Sandy, from the Joplin tornado to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and from H1N1 to Zika, will offer his perspective on how individuals and communities are impacted by the complicated health issues associated with disasters, how we rebound, and how we can prepare for the future.
This is a ticketed event presented as part of the NYU Alumni Weekend. Get tickets here: http://bit.ly/2pklVF3
