In celebration of Women's History Month, join us to discuss career advice from powerful women in the Public Health Field.

Background information on panelists:

Danielle Ompad, Associate Professor of Epidemiology
Dr. Danielle Ompad is an epidemiologist whose work is focused in the areas of urban health, HIV, illicit drug use, and adult access to vaccines.

Dean Cheryl Healton, Dean of College of Global Public Health
Dr. Cheryl Healton is responsible for building the College of Global Public Health’s academic, service, and research programs, which focus on domestic and international health with an emphasis on prevention, systems intervention, and innovation in public health practice.

LeConté Dill, Director of Public Health Practice
Dr. LeConté Dill’s community-engaged research interests are focused on addressing health inequities and fostering protective factors among urban youth of color. Using qualitative and arts-based research methods, she examines the relationship between adolescent development and multiple levels of violence

Teri Yuan, Intersectional feminist, survivor, and advocate, social justice warrior
Teri Yuan is a social entrepreneur, feminist business consultant, and the host of the weekly podcast, en(gender)ed, which explores the systems, practices, and policies that enable gender-based violence and oppression and the solutions to end it. The podcast uses gender as a lens to better understand power and oppression and its impact in the private realm, so as to better recognize and confront it in the public sphere.

Nicki Andrews, MPH, Project Manager in PCDC
Nicki joined PCDC in 2017 and provides PCMH consulting services. She has more than six years' experience working in health care, most recently in care coordination. Before joining PCDC, Nicki worked for Mount Sinai Hospital as a Director of Wellness for their Viva program and as a consultant for the Department of Health where she developed behavioral health and quality improvement trainings. Nicki has also worked in mental health, HIV prevention, and as a diabetes educator

Lina Rojas, IRC Reproductive Health Project Manager
Lina Rojas is a global health/humanitarian assistance professional with over 9 years background in refugee resettlement/forced migration, sexual/reproductive health, program management/design, data analysis, surveillance, case management, legal advising, and experience in conflict and post-conflict areas including the Democratic Republic of Congo and Colombia. Native speaker of Spanish, advanced conversational French.
