Please join the Departments of Epidemiology and Global Health for this exciting seminar featuring Dr. Yaman Barlas.

Dr. Barlas is a Professor of Industrial Engineering and Director of the System Dynamics Research Laboratory at Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. His areas of focus are the credibility and testing of simulation models, system dynamics methods, systems science, the modeling of socio-economic and medical/health problems, and simulation as a learning/training platform.

During this seminar, Dr. Barlas will provide a comprehensive overview of systems theory (“science”) and dynamic feedback modeling, its main applications and its potential in complex policy settings.  At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Barlas will walk participants through some state-of-the-art methodological and applied research problems. This seminar will also include 20-25 minutes of Q&A and discussion. Lunch will be provided.
