Measles, Morality, Policy, and New York: Where Are We Now, and What Lessons Must We Learn?

June 24
3-6pm
NYU Langone Health, 550 First Avenue, Alumni Hall A

This month, the number of confirmed measles cases in the United States topped 1,000 -- the majority of them centered in New York City and surrounding areas. This is a frightening development for a preventable -- and potentially life-threatening -- disease that was declared "eliminated" in 2000. Why is measles on the rise? What must be done to ensure that our communities are made aware of its dangers and that health providers are given the authority to protect the public from its spread?

Join NYU Langone Health to hear physicians and public health experts discuss these issues.

Registration not required.
