Responsible Solidarity: Thanksgiving from a Native American Lens

A critical discussion about Native American and Indigenous identity and representation by a panel of Native alumni, staff, and faculty. This event will center Native American/Indigenous narrative as it relates to current Indigenous worldviews and experiences. Key topics will include real histories, Indigenous ways of knowing, and land acknowledgements. Panelists will highlight responsible allyship and responsible solidarity and ways to build greater support for Native American and Indigenous Communities.

Panelists include Byron Tsabetsaye (Diné/A:shiwi), Steinhardt alum and Director of the Native American Center at San Juan College; Hannah Thomas (Chickasaw), Steinhardt alum and International Student Advisor at Pace University; Logan Jacobs (Haliwa-Saponi, Coharie) GSAS alumna, Coordinator for Native American Recruitment, and Gallatin MA Student; and Alastair Bitsóí (Diné) School of Global Public Health Alumnus and a Public Health/Environmental Health Writer. This event is open to the public.
