ABSTRACT: Statistical discourse is generally recognized as a scientific achievement that provides model problems for a community of practitioners (economists, sociologists, epidemiologists, demographers, biostatisticians, etc.). By definition, statistical analysis provides a logical paradigm for the analysis of many social and public health problems. We will discuss how this discourse has been limited by a foundation of white logic in the application of social science methods.
