2021 School of Global Public Health Virtual Graduation Celebration

May 20
7-9pm
Online

Each spring, the entire NYU School of Global Public Health community is excited to celebrate the hard work and bright futures of all of our talented graduates. Our families, our communities and our world need public health professionals now more than ever.  We are immensely proud of our over 400 graduates who will soon be answering that call with courage and determination.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our community members and the public is, and always has been, our highest priority. Therefore in line with public health guidance and that of NYU, our 2021 Graduation Celebration will be held virtually. Our graduates are now and will become the frontline of this epidemic as they move into and advance their public health careers. This epidemic, like other epidemics that came before underscores the crucial role public health plays in preventing the emergence  of epidemics, the control of epidemics and the adaptation to the impact of epidemics.

We will hear a special address by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), along with messages of support and encouragement from the GPH community. Based on current information, no in-person graduation activities are planned for 2021.
