Modeling Resilience Over The Life Course: Integrating Systems Science and Machine Learning

June 24
1-2pm
665 Broadway, 11th Floor, Room 1111 New York, NY

A discussion on modeling resilience over the life course featuring Atif Adam, PhD, MPH.

Dr. Atif Adam is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Mental Health in the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University (JHBSPH). His research explores the use of systems models to simulate life course health burdens and socio-environmental health systems dynamics to better understand advise health outcomes and health disparities, nationally and globally. Dr. Adam completed his PhD in International Health Systems and Systems Modeling from JHBSPH with a focus on developing individual-based computational models to understand obesity to chronic disease progression and evaluate the potential clinical and economic impact of obesity interventions throughtout the lifespan.
