Please join us for a virtual data presentation on the 2020 U.S. Census, brought to us by Sarah Malaika, Partnership Specialist at the U.S. Census Bureau, New York Regional Office, Field Division. This webinar is an introduction to the surveys conducted, demographic information published, and new data tools made available for use by the Bureau. Learn how the most accurate and up-to-date data can inform your most important decisions, and how to find statistics available through platforms like data.census.gov.
Throughout the presentation, Sarah will cover answers to questions such as:
- When is 2020 Census information being released?
- Where can I find the demographics of people who live in New York City?
- How can researchers and decision makers at hospitals and health centers use and take advantage of census data in their day-to-day work?
Data sets are free and available to the public, and can inform and support grant proposals, program & strategic planning, research projects and more. Census data includes demographic information on a variety of health-related factors (e.g. social determinants of health) which are highly relevant to our research community.
