International Student Career Series: The Value of Small Talk in the U.S.

September 08
11am-12pm
Online

Hosted by the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development

How can you talk to strangers during a networking event or during the first minutes of an interview? You can start by having a casual conversation. In the U.S., this is often referred to as "small talk" and it's generally a helpful way to start a conversation. In our first event of the International Student Career Development Series, join Allen McFarlane, Assistant Vice President for Outreach and Engagement at NYU, and Brian Li, NYU Alumnus and Academic Advisor at NYU Shanghai for a discussion on how to practice small talk in the U.S. and how it can impact your career.

This event is in ET.
