Women in Tech: Fireside Chat with Susanne Tedrick

October 06
5-6pm
Online

Hosted by the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development

Join us for the Women in Tech Speaker Series, where special guests will share their backgrounds and experiences. The aim is to provide an opportunity for students interested in tech industries to ask questions, participate in a dialogue, relate to one another, be inspired, expand their network, and build more inclusive spaces in the tech industry. Susanne Tedrick is fiercely committed to increasing the participation of women and people of color in STEM educational and professional opportunities. During this fireside chat, she will discuss her own journey into technology companies (IBM, Microsoft) and share her experiences with overcoming the obstacles that often prevent women of color from pursuing and staying in tech careers. Susanne will also share her professional life lessons included in her book: Women of Color in Tech: A Blueprint for Inspiring and Mentoring the Next Generation of Technology Innovators.
