Hosted by the GPH Office of the Dean
The COVID-19 pandemic presented many challenges and exposed many shortcomings in our ability to respond to pandemic threats most especially in health systems from the local to national level. Join physician and medical journalist Dr. Céline Gounder, President of the Social Science Research Council Dr. Anna Harvey, and GPH's Interim Program Director of Global and Environmental Health Dr. Michael Merson for a conversation that tackles not only lessons learned and not learned from Covid-19, but also a core result of this pandemic: the detrimental effects disinformation campaigns have on trust in public health and medicine, including on vaccinations, abortion, gun violence, and environmental issues, the steps we can take to counter skeptics, and restoring trust in public health.
