Hosted by Black Valley Films in partnership with the G4 Alliance and NYU Langone
On September 18-19 2023, Heads of State and Government will gather at UN Headquarters in New York to have what Global Health Strategies calls “The world’s most important meeting.” The outcome will be a political declaration that aims at “mobilizing political will at the national, regional and international levels for pandemic prevention, preparedness and response."
It is for this reason Black Valley Films and Oscar nominated filmmaker, Scott Hamilton Kennedy and Executive Producer Neil DeGrasse Tyson have partnered with NYU Langone Health and the G4 Alliance to host a private screening and Q&A of SHOT IN THE ARM. This is a unique opportunity for UN and New York public health officials to engage in person for a lively conversation with the filmmaker and executive producer and discuss the film’s impact campaign and the critical issues raised about public health and vaccine hesitancy.
The Q&A will feature panelists including producer/director Scott Hamilton Kennedy, executive producer Neil deGrasse Tyson, one of the film's subjects, Nurse Blima Marcus DNP RN, and neurosurgeon and chairman of BOD of G4 Alliance Gail Rosseau, MD.
The film features public health experts like Tony Fauci, Paul Offit, and Peter Hotez, as well as rare interviews and footage with anti-vaccine activists like Robert Kennedy, Jr., Andrew Wakefield and Del Bigtree. SHOT IN THE ARM will open in NYC at the Angelika Film Center on November 3, 2023 before opening in Los Angeles and other cities through the end of the year.
RSVP required by Sunday, September 17
