The What, When, Why & How of Biostatisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry

November 30
4-5pm
708 Broadway, Room 801 / Online

Hosted by the GPH Department of Biostatistics

Day-to-Day activities and responsibilities of a statistician/biostatistician in Big Pharma, Biotech, or a contract research organization (CRO) are determined by how these organizations interpret & implement guidelines from the ICH and fulfill requirements specified in the eCTD. These in turn set parameters of drug development: what a statistician does, when they fulfill requirements and execute guidelines, how they do it, and why it is necessary. Peek behind the curtain with Dr. Kevin Roberts, Director of Biostatistics at Pfizer, to see why the pharmaceutical industry is among the most regulated on earth.
