Different Tools for Different Decisions

March 27

Online

Hosted by the Center for Advancement and Dissemination of Intervention Optimization (CADIO)

Dr. David Vanness, Professor of Health Policy and Administration at Penn State University, and his team is developing new methods to help intervention scientists using the multiphase optimization strategy (MOST) to choose components that give the best chance of demonstrating an optimal balance of intervention performance and cost. In this webinar, he will give a background on the long (and complicated) history of using economic evaluation methods like cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) to evaluate interventions and present the case that the DAIVE approach may offer advantages over traditional CEA as a decision-making tool in the optimization phase of MOST.
