This session, presented by Tanja Kuchenmüller and Luke Wolfenden, will cover the ongoing efforts to develop a new WHO guidance document and a case study on how health system principles have been applied enhance implementation.

Tanja Kuchenmüller leads the Evidence to Policy and Impact Unit within the Research for Health Department of WHO’s Science Division. Her unit focuses on two key areas: (1) strengthening country capacity to generate, translate, and apply research evidence in policy and practice and (2) providing strategic leadership on research policies that improve access and support scale-up.

Professor Wolfenden is an implementation and behavioral scientist. He is the Director of the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence; Director of the National Centre of Implementation Science; Co-Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Evidence-based Non-Communicable Disease Program Implementation, and Co-Lead of Cochranes People, Health Systems and Public Health Thematic Group.
