Our department's faculty are closely following the COVID-19 crisis, and are dedicated to contributing to vital research combatting it, as well as guiding students to understand the pandemic and contribute to research themselves. Below are some of our relevant initiatives:
- We are offering statistical consulting for COVID-19 related research projects. We can help with study design, data analysis, machine learning, survey design, observational studies, prediction modeling, and many other methods.
- There is no charge for this service; we will prioritize according to our availability and expertise.
- Please fill out our intake form with your details and request.
- Congratulations to all who participated in the NYU Langone COVID-19 Data Challenge, including current MS student Yuyu (Ruby) Chen, whose group's project, "Exploring the association between multiple time-varying biomarkers with survival outcomes among hospitalized COVID-19 patients", was selected as one of the winners!
- Dr. Rumi Chunara recently co-authored a study on telemedicine disparities during the pandemic which has been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal.
